19-Year-Old East Jerusalem Resident Arrested for Alleged Indecent Acts on Two 12-Year-Old Girls in Tel Aviv
Israeli police officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon area arrested a 19-year-old East Jerusalem resident on Friday on suspicion of committing indecent acts against two 12-year-old girls at the Tel Aviv beach. The police received a report about a suspicious man who allegedly entered the water, approached the two minors, and touched them inappropriately. Officers nearby identified and detained the suspect. Following investigation, the suspect was brought for questioning and subsequently remanded in custody. On Saturday, a court extended his detention until the following day.
This arrest follows similar incidents last month in Tel Aviv, where two men were detained on suspicion of indecent acts against three women at three different locations in the city. One suspect, a Palestinian man in his 30s from Hawara, allegedly touched two women in a park and a nearby club. Another suspect, a Haifa resident in his 40s, was arrested for allegedly committing an indecent act in a women's restroom at Frishman Beach.
The police continue to investigate these cases as part of their efforts to address sexual offenses in public spaces along Tel Aviv's coastline.
