New Greek footage shows Kendrick Nunn confronted Tyrique Jones before postgame punch

Olympiacos beat Panathinaikos on Saturday to win the Greek championship, but the main story from the game was the ugly postgame clash between Kendrick Nunn and Tyrique Jones.

Earlier footage had already shown Jones, Olympiacos’ center, grabbing Nunn by the neck during the game and later throwing a punch toward the Panathinaikos star’s face on the way to the locker rooms. On June 14, 2026, Greek media published new security-camera video that changed the picture of what sparked the confrontation.

According to the newly released clip, Nunn was the one who appeared to escalate the situation first. The Panathinaikos star waited for Jones, exchanged words with him, and then, a few seconds later, shoved him moments before the punch was thrown.

The video adds a new angle to an already heated end to the title game, but no further outcome beyond the championship result and the publication of the new footage was reported.
