Tyrique Jones and Kendrick Nunn Ejected After Shoving Scuffle in Greek Final
The fifth and deciding game of the Greek Basket League playoff final between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos turned heated in the third quarter, when Tyrique Jones and Kendrick Nunn were involved in a confrontation.
Nunn, frustrated as his team fell behind by a large margin, committed a hard foul on Olympiacos star Sasha Vezenkov. Jones took exception, approached Nunn, and after the two made head contact, he grabbed Nunn by the throat and shoved him backward.
The unexpected move drew Gerian Grant into the fray, but officials and other players quickly stepped in and calmed the situation. Nunn was assessed a technical foul, his fifth, and was ejected in the third quarter. Jones was also ejected after receiving a technical foul and an unsportsmanlike foul.
The incident came in the decisive championship game, which was played on June 13, 2026, and reported at 19:50 by Sport 5.
