Hapoel Be'er Sheva Doubts New Signings Before Champions League Playoff Against Sabah

Hapoel Be'er Sheva officials expressed on Friday morning that it will likely be impossible to sign new players before their first Champions League playoff match against Sabah on Wednesday in Bucharest. The club is struggling to find suitable reinforcements, particularly a midfielder to replace Kings Kangwa or a central defender, within the very limited time frame. Registration for the playoff matches closes on Tuesday, making any last-minute additions highly unlikely.

As a result, the squad that played against Red Star Belgrade, which lost 2-0, is expected to remain the same for the upcoming matches against the Azerbaijani champions. Hapoel Be'er Sheva currently has six foreign players registered: Igor Zlatanovic, Javon East, Lucas Ventura, João Victor, Jibril Diop, and Pedro Amador. Amador is expected to continue in the starting lineup, even with the return of Matan Baltaksa from suspension for the match against Sabah.

The match in Bucharest is generating significant interest among fans, with attendance expected to exceed the 250 supporters who traveled previously. Notably, Hapoel Be'er Sheva has changed its home venue for the playoffs and subsequent European competition matches, moving from Sombathely, Hungary, to the Rapid Bucharest stadium in Romania.
