OpenAI Appoints Waze COO Dali Rajic as Chief Revenue Officer Amid Rapid Growth

OpenAI announced the hiring of Dali Rajic, former Chief Operating Officer of Waze, as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Rajic, a prominent figure at Waze for nearly two and a half years, will lead OpenAI's revenue operations to support the company’s next phase of growth. OpenAI highlighted that the next generation of AI models will transform not only work processes but also how companies are built and managed, with Rajic tasked to develop a revenue operating system to scale accordingly.

Before joining OpenAI, Rajic served as President and COO at Ziskler and as Chief Customer and Revenue Officer at AppDynamics. Amnon Lotbak, one of Waze’s founders, previously described Rajic’s arrival at Waze in early 2024 as a significant cultural shift, marking the introduction of an external executive with a different DNA into the company’s previously family-like, organic environment.

Greg Brockman, OpenAI’s President and co-founder, emphasized that AI is becoming integral to many organizational workflows and that Rajic will be responsible for expanding OpenAI’s commercial experience into a scalable system as demand grows. This appointment comes as OpenAI seeks to rapidly expand its business with companies and organizations. The company reports that its products now reach over one billion active users weekly and serve more than two million businesses, doubling in the past year.

Alongside the widespread popularity of ChatGPT among individual users, OpenAI is intensifying efforts to increase AI product sales to enterprises and deepen AI integration in business processes. Rajic’s role is critical in managing this commercial expansion during a pivotal growth period for OpenAI.
