Israeli Election Committee and Police Coordinate to Counter AI and Physical Disruptions in Upcoming Vote

Ahead of Israel's 26th Knesset elections, Central Elections Committee Chair Judge Noam Solberg and Acting CEO Dean Livneh met with Police Commissioner Major General Danny Levi to discuss preparations for election day. The meeting focused on safeguarding election integrity amid emerging challenges such as cyber threats, artificial intelligence misuse, and technological attempts to influence voters. Authorities emphasized monitoring digital spaces, intelligence gathering, and preventing disruptions at polling stations, including physical blockades or voter intimidation.

Judge Solberg highlighted the new challenges posed by advanced technologies and stressed the importance of cooperation between the Elections Committee, police, and relevant agencies to ensure a free, fair, and secure election. Commissioner Levi warned that anyone attempting to undermine the election's integrity would face a determined police response aimed at protecting democracy. Senior officials from the police's investigations, intelligence, and legal divisions also participated, underscoring the operational, intelligence, and legal readiness for the election.
