Former Israeli Border Police Officer Indicted for Sexually Harassing Underage Boy

The Police Investigations Department filed a serious indictment on Wednesday against a former Israeli Border Police officer accused of sexually harassing a boy under the age of 14. The indictment, submitted to the Nazareth Magistrate's Court by attorney Hila Cohen, alleges that the ex-officer, who served in the Jerusalem Border Police unit, engaged in explicit sexual conversations with the minor via Instagram, fully aware of the boy's young age.

According to the indictment, the former officer repeatedly proposed meeting the boy for sexual encounters, offering monetary compensation and requesting explicit photos. He inquired about the boy's past sexual experiences with adults, invited him to his home, and even suggested the boy could stay overnight. Despite the boy explicitly stating his age and birthdate, the accused continued sending graphic sexual messages and attempted to arrange meetings.

Additionally, the indictment states the accused sought contact details of another minor for similar illicit purposes while persisting in making sexual propositions to the first boy. The Police Investigations Department in Nazareth is handling the case, which highlights serious breaches of trust and abuse of authority by a former law enforcement officer.
