Rabid Dog Found in Ramat Gan Prompts Preventive Treatment for 10 People

The Israeli Ministry of Health reported that a dog infected with rabies was discovered in a parking lot at Ganei Yehoshua Park in Ramat Gan. Following exposure to the rabid dog, ten individuals were directed to receive preventive rabies vaccinations. The Ministry urged anyone who had contact with the infected dog, or whose pets may have interacted with the rabid animal or any stray animals in the area between August 7 and August 12, to urgently contact the Tel Aviv Health Office at 03-5684631 or their nearest health office to consider preventive treatment. For cases outside of regular working hours and during weekends, individuals are advised to visit the emergency room at a hospital.
