Rabid Dog Found in Israeli Village Prompts Urgent Health Response

The Israeli Ministry of Health has reported the discovery of a rabid dog in the village of Barta'a. The affected animal is a medium-sized mixed breed dog with black and white coloring. Following exposure to the dog, 13 individuals have been directed to receive preventive treatment to mitigate the risk of rabies infection.

Authorities are urging anyone who had contact with stray animals in the area between June 6 and July 2 to urgently contact the Hadera Health Office at 046240804 or their nearest health office. Pet owners are also advised to verify their animals' vaccination status with the official veterinary authorities to prevent further spread of the disease.
