Rabid Dog Found in Neve Tzuf Settlement Prompts Preventive Treatment for Exposed Residents

The Israeli Ministry of Health reported the detection of a dog infected with rabies in the Neve Tzuf (Halamish) settlement located in the Mateh Binyamin region. The dog is described as medium-sized and brown in color. Following the discovery, four individuals who had contact with the dog have already received preventive treatment against rabies.

The Ministry urged anyone who had contact with the infected dog, or whose pets may have come into contact with the infected or any stray animals in the area between June 24 and July 9, to urgently contact the Ramla District Health Office at 08-9181202 or their nearest health office. This is to assess the need for preventive treatment to avoid further risk of rabies infection.
