Israeli Health Ministry Warns of Rabid Dog in Neve Tzuf Settlement
The Israeli Ministry of Health has reported a medium-sized brown dog infected with rabies in the Neve Tzuf settlement. The alert was issued on July 29, 2026, after the infected dog was identified. So far, four individuals who were exposed to the dog have received preventive treatment.
The ministry urges anyone who had contact with animals in the area between June 24 and July 9, 2026, to urgently contact the Ramla District Health Office at 08-9181202 or their nearest health office. The ministry also reminds the public that anyone bitten or scratched by an animal should immediately wash the wound with soap and water, disinfect it, and seek medical attention at a health office.
