Peace Council CEO Denies Financial Deal with Hamas, Affirms Full Transparency

Nikolay Mladenov, CEO of the Peace Council, issued an unusual statement firmly denying claims of any financial agreement between the Council and Hamas. He stated that no such proposal was ever considered and will not be entertained in the future. Mladenov emphasized that a monitoring mechanism has recently been implemented to oversee violations, ensuring that any confirmed breach will be addressed accordingly.

He clarified that Hamas will have no role in Gaza's administration nor any access to funds. The Peace Council's finances are not routed through Hamas. Every contract undergoes thorough checks and approvals, all work is verified prior to payment, and all accounts remain fully open to scrutiny by donor governments.
