Israel Launches International Tender for New Beersheba Medical Center Design
The Israeli Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance have issued an international tender for the architectural planning of the new "PRES" medical center in Beersheba. The hospital will be constructed on approximately 430 dunams in the city's new eastern urban district. Ownership will be jointly held by the Meuhedet and Leumit health funds. Initially, the facility will include 600 inpatient beds and will integrate the Beersheba Mental Health Center. The center will be operated by Sheba Medical Center and aims to expand healthcare services for southern residents while reducing health disparities between Israel's periphery and central regions.
