Bereaved Father Reveals Persian-Speaking Militants Roamed Nahal Oz Before October 7 Attack

Eyal Eshel, father of Roni Eshel, a lookout killed in the Nahal Oz massacre on October 7, claimed in a Radio Network B interview that militants speaking Persian were present in the area on the day of the attack. He emphasized that this information is not from the Israeli military but gathered from testimonies of people who were in the area and served there. "On Saturday, October 7, militants were roaming Nahal Oz, speaking and shouting in Persian," Eshel said, adding that new details continue to emerge about that day.

Eshel explained that the information comes from eyewitness accounts and that he has learned much more about the events of October 7 in the weeks and months following the attack. He concluded that the presence of Persian-speaking militants indicates that intelligence was collected on Israel before the assault. "I understand from this detail that they gathered information on us before October 7," he stated.

He stressed that this data was not provided by the army but collected independently by himself from various sources. Eshel described his ongoing efforts as a mission entrusted to him by his late daughter, aiming to improve and heal the country. Although he has come to terms with his daughter's death, he is committed to making Israel a better place for future generations. "I am trying with all my might," he said, "because these children growing up here deserve a different reality."
