Man Shot Dead in Shfaram Amid Suspected Family Feud Violence

A man in his 60s was fatally shot on Wednesday morning in Shfaram, near a gas station, while on his way to work. According to initial police investigations, unknown assailants fired at him from close range and fled the scene. Emergency medical teams found the man with gunshot wounds to his chest and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police suspect the killing is linked to an ongoing blood feud between the Haladi and Swaid families, a violent conflict that has resulted in approximately 36 deaths over the past three and a half years. This incident adds to the broader context of violence in the Arab community, which has seen 161 victims of crime and violence since the beginning of the year.

The first report of the shooting was received by emergency services at 5:31 a.m. Mohammad Ziadna, a senior paramedic at Magen David Adom, described finding the victim unconscious and without vital signs inside his vehicle. Despite medical efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder and its connection to the family feud.
