Man in His 60s Shot Dead in Shfaram Amid Family Feud Violence

A man in his 60s was fatally shot on Wednesday morning in Shfaram, near a gas station, while on his way to work. According to initial police investigations, the victim was shot at close range by unknown assailants who then fled the scene. Emergency medical teams found him with gunshot wounds to the chest and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police suspect the killing is connected to an ongoing violent feud between the Haladi and Swaid families, a conflict that has resulted in approximately 36 deaths over the past three and a half years. This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence in the Arab community, which has seen 161 victims of violent crime since the beginning of the year.

The first report of the shooting was received by Magen David Adom dispatch at 5:31 a.m. Paramedic Mohammad Ziadna described finding the victim unconscious and without vital signs inside his vehicle, confirming his death after medical examination. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder and the possible motives linked to the family feud.
