60-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Ongoing Violence in Shfaram

A 60-year-old man was shot dead on Wednesday in Shfaram, northern Israel. Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to save him. Senior paramedic Mohammad Ziadna reported the victim was found unconscious inside a vehicle with severe penetrating wounds and no signs of life. The Israel Police launched an investigation, conducting searches for suspects and examining the circumstances of the shooting.

Shfaram has become a hotspot of violent crime within the Arab community, marked by a deadly feud between the Swaid and Khalidi families. Since the conflict reignited in 2023, it has resulted in 36 murders, many victims being innocent civilians targeted solely due to family ties. Recently, 24-year-old Ali Swaid, a local resident, was also killed. Police announced two days ago they arrested four suspects, three men in their twenties from Shfaram and a 17-year-old from Nazareth, and will file indictments against them.

The ongoing blood feud continues to claim lives indiscriminately, perpetuating a cycle of revenge killings that deeply affects the community and challenges law enforcement efforts.
