MK Tali Gottlieb Denounces Journalist Michael Shemesh as a 'Lying Reporter' Over Likud Court Decisions

On Tuesday, Israeli Knesset member Tali Gottlieb sharply criticized senior journalist Michael Shemesh, accusing him of spreading falsehoods. Gottlieb stated she fully accepts the decisions made by the Likud party's internal court and therefore did not see the need to appeal to a civil court. Gottlieb further accused Shemesh of publishing a false claim that she was unreachable for a telephone vote. She clarified that neither the court secretariat nor the Likud CEO contacted her due to a court order. She accused Shemesh of using her name to attract readers and said he earned his bad reputation through lies and deceit.
