MK Tali Gottlieb Slams Netanyahu, Katz After Court Hearing

Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb engaged in a public political dispute with senior Likud figures Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel Katz following a court hearing on Monday in Lod. The hearing concerned a NIS 2.6 million lawsuit filed against Gottlieb by Shachma Bressler and her husband, stemming from Gottlieb's publications alleging Bressler's husband, a Shin Bet employee, coordinated the October 7th Hamas attack with Yahya Sinwar. Gottlieb's request for parliamentary immunity to dismiss the lawsuit was rejected by the District Court.

Simultaneously, Gottlieb faces a separate indictment for revealing the identity of a defense official, Bressler's husband. While she sought immunity in that case and was granted it, the legal battles highlight ongoing tensions. During the court session, Bressler reportedly told Gottlieb, "Even Netanyahu threw you out."

After exiting the courthouse, Gottlieb posted a strong statement criticizing Bressler's husband as "dangerous" and positioning herself as a key figure in exposing those responsible for the October 7th events and alleged "rebellion" against the prime minister by security officials. She specifically blamed Israel Katz for "enormous and horrific damage" by signing a "confidentiality certificate" that she claims led to her being "handed over to [Attorney General] Gali Baharav-Miara." Gottlieb also suggested Netanyahu played a role in her current political standing, implying he did not support her placement on the Likud list.

In stark contrast to her criticism of Netanyahu and Katz, Gottlieb praised National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. She lauded him as "tremendous," a man of "words and deeds," and credited him with opening the doors of his Otzma Yehudit party to her, placing her at the top of their list. Gottlieb vowed to continue her efforts to expose those responsible for the "October inferno," even after Katz's alleged actions.
