Gottlieb Attacks Katz After Court Hearing, Defends Herself in Lawsuit

Member of Knesset Tally Gottlieb emerged from a court hearing on Thursday, where she faced a multi-million shekel lawsuit filed against her due to her public statements concerning Shkema Bressler and her husband. Following the proceedings at the Central District Court in Lod, Gottlieb launched a sharp verbal attack on Minister Israel Katz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing Katz of "handing me over to" Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. Gottlieb also praised her "new partner," Itamar Ben-Gvir, describing him as "a man of words and deeds."

In her statement after leaving court, Gottlieb characterized the lawsuit, filed by Bressler's husband, as "absurd" and "enormous." She asserted that she is largely carrying the burden of exposing those responsible for the "October inferno" and for what she termed a "coup and rebellion" against the Prime Minister and the government, allegedly orchestrated by senior figures in the Shin Bet and the IDF.

The lawsuit stems from Gottlieb's public remarks, which have drawn criticism. The hearing on Thursday addressed the significant financial claim brought against the MK. Gottlieb's public confrontation with Katz and her defense of her actions suggest a deepening political rift and a continued focus on the events leading up to and following the October 7th attacks.
