Israeli Police Arrest Trio for Impersonating Telecom Agents to Rob 92-Year-Old Woman

Israeli police in the Northern District arrested three suspects aged 19 to 21 from Haifa and the Krayot for impersonating telecommunications company representatives and robbing a 92-year-old woman. Over a month ago, the elderly woman reported unauthorized withdrawals of thousands of shekels from her bank account. She discovered that the suspects had visited her home the previous evening under the pretense of renewing her contract with the telecom company. During their visit, they stole property and used her credit card details to withdraw large sums of money.

Following the complaint, the Northern District police launched an investigation, gathering evidence that led to the suspects' arrest earlier this week. The suspects were brought before the Nazareth Magistrate's Court, which extended their detention until August 13. The police released footage of the arrest and urged the public, especially seniors and their families, to remain vigilant against fraud attempts, avoid transferring money or valuables to unknown individuals, and report any suspicious activity immediately.
