Three Young Men Arrested for Alleged Fraud Against 92-Year-Old in Jezreel Valley
Three young men aged 19 to 21 from Haifa and the Krayot were arrested on suspicion of impersonating telecommunications company representatives to defraud a 92-year-old woman in the Jezreel Valley. The suspects allegedly arranged a meeting with the elderly woman under the pretense of renewing her contract, during which they stole property from her home and later withdrew thousands of shekels from her bank account using her credit card details.
The case came to light after the woman reported unauthorized withdrawals totaling thousands of shekels from her account. Police investigations revealed that the suspects had visited her the evening before the withdrawals, claiming to be service representatives. Evidence collected during the investigation led to the suspects' arrest last Sunday.
The suspects were brought before the Nazareth Magistrate's Court, which extended their detention until August 13. The investigation is ongoing under the Northern District Police.
