Netanyahu Reserves Knesset Slots for Ministers Katz, Katz, and Sa'ar in Likud List

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to reserve places on the Likud party list for three key ministers: Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and Health Minister Haim Katz. This announcement was made by the Likud party overnight on Wednesday. The party stated that the Likud movement's court ruled last week to reserve a spot for Defense Minister Israel Katz, who was already expected to be near the top of the list, to allow him to focus on security matters without being distracted by political campaigning at this time.

Gideon Sa'ar will be included as part of the union agreement between his party and Likud, while Haim Katz will be placed on the list due to his role as chairman of the party's central committee. Additionally, a petition was rejected that would have required Likud Knesset members to run in specific districts during the primaries. The announcement comes amid heightened internal party tensions following interviews with prominent Likud members Yuli Edelstein and Gilad Erdan, with party members responding strongly.
