Hadar Mukhtar Awaits Netanyahu's Approval to Enter Likud Primaries, Rejects Claims of Flattery

Hadar Mukhtar, aspiring to run in the upcoming Likud primaries, is currently facing a significant hurdle: she is waiting for a shortened political service period (Pazam) approval from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that would allow her to enter the race. Mukhtar openly expresses hope that Netanyahu will grant this authorization, emphasizing her belief that it would benefit the Likud party by helping it reach younger voters.

In an interview, Mukhtar confidently stated she could deliver two additional mandates from young supporters to Netanyahu, potentially securing the party's 61-seat majority and expanding its coalition. When asked if Netanyahu recognizes her potential, she affirmed that he clearly does. However, she acknowledged that internal party pressures might be delaying the decision but remains trusting of Netanyahu.

Mukhtar also addressed criticism suggesting her public support for Netanyahu is mere flattery to secure the Pazam approval. She rejected this notion, arguing that positive remarks about Netanyahu often provoke accusations of sycophancy and that her respect for him is genuine and independent of the pending decision. For now, she continues to await Netanyahu's ruling that will determine her eligibility to compete in the primaries.
