Israeli Teens Attacked in Montenegro Amid Anti-Semitic Assault Outside Casino

Two Israeli teenagers from Hod Hasharon, Yoav and Dor, were assaulted during a trip to Montenegro last week. The incident occurred after the teens visited a local casino where a man befriended them, only to later harass them and lead them into a trap. Upon revealing their Israeli nationality, the teens were pursued by a group of about 15 locals shouting "Jews, Jews!" as they fled through the streets. Dor was physically attacked but managed to escape to a hotel, while Yoav hid for over two hours in a private yard before contacting his parents.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry's Department for Israelis Abroad and the Israeli Consulate in Belgrade immediately intervened, coordinating with local authorities and supporting the families throughout the investigation. Yoav's mother praised the swift response and ongoing communication with Montenegrin police. The investigation into the attack is still underway.

This incident follows a similar violent attack last month in Montenegro, where a group of young Israelis from the Gaza envelope were assaulted by about 20 locals at a beach. That attack escalated quickly after the victims identified themselves as Israelis, resulting in severe physical harm and inadequate local police response. These events highlight growing concerns over the safety of Israeli tourists in Montenegro.
