Israeli Police Arrest Four Suspects in Shfaram Murder Linked to Crime Clan Feud

Israeli police have arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of Ali Swaed in Shfaram about six weeks ago. The suspects include three men in their twenties from Shfaram and a 17-year-old minor from Nazareth. The killing occurred at a bus terminal during a violent feud between the Swaed and Khalidi crime organizations, a conflict that has claimed dozens of victims.

The investigation was led by the Lahav 433 National Crime Unit in cooperation with the Northern District Police and the Haifa District Prosecutor's Office. Authorities gathered substantial evidence against the suspects and filed a prosecution statement along with a request to detain them until the conclusion of legal proceedings. Lahav 433 emphasized their ongoing commitment to dismantling the Swaed crime organization as part of a broader police campaign against organized crime and related murders, a priority declared by the Israeli Police Commissioner.

Ali Swaed, a 24-year-old resident of Shfaram, was found dead at the scene by Magen David Adom paramedics after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel confirmed his death on site. In recent years, Shfaram has become a hotspot for violent crime within the Arab community, driven by internal family clan rivalries, particularly between the Swaed and Khalidi families.

The police continue to pursue efforts to curb this cycle of bloodshed and restore public safety in the region.
