Jerusalem Raises Parking Fees to 22 Shekels Per Hour in City Center

The Jerusalem Municipality announced an increase in parking fees at city-operated lots managed by Eden company, effective immediately. In the city center, hourly parking rates will rise from 18 to 22 shekels, while other areas will see an increase from 12 to 15 shekels per hour. The Talpiot area will maintain its current rate of 12 shekels per hour. Residents eligible for the "Yerushalmi" discount will continue paying a reduced rate of 11 shekels per hour across all municipal parking lots. Charges will be based on actual parking time.

The municipality explained that the fee adjustment aims to regulate parking demand in central Jerusalem, encourage greater use of public transportation, especially the light rail, and address rising operational costs of the parking facilities. This move is part of broader efforts to manage urban mobility and promote sustainable transport options in the city.
