Avigdor Bechar Names Avigdor Lieberman as His Preferred Prime Minister Candidate

Avigdor Bechar, a resident of Beeri who lost his wife and son in the October 7 massacre, revealed in a radio interview on 103fm that he intends to vote for Avigdor Lieberman. Bechar spoke about the ongoing security situation near his home, just four kilometers from the Gaza border, emphasizing that Hamas continues to strengthen. He rejected any notion of disarming Hamas through agreements, stating that the group is not naive and that Israel must show firm resolve in opposing their presence.

Bechar also addressed speculation about joining the Likud party list but dismissed it, saying he refuses to be part of any framework that does not take responsibility for the current situation. He is currently focused on rebuilding his family and community. Regarding Lieberman, leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, Bechar praised him as a practical and grounded leader who understands the issues and advocates for action without excessive rhetoric.
