Three Charged in Haifa Court for January Murder of Muhammad Mahamid in Umm al-Fahm
The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office has filed murder charges against Karam Gabarin (42) from Ma'ale Iron, Said Al-Sayed (23) from the Negev, and a minor from Umm al-Fahm for the killing of Muhammad Mahamid in January. According to the indictment, Gabarin sought revenge for his wife's murder, for which the victim's brother was on trial. The three accused allegedly planned the murder, using two stolen vehicles and an AK-47 rifle. They ambushed Mahamid near a bakery in Umm al-Fahm, a location he frequently stopped at, and shot him at least nine times in the back. They also fired at the vehicle Mahamid arrived in, injuring another occupant in the leg.
