Netanyahu's Likud Leads as Gadi Eizenkot's Yisra Holds Close in New Mandate Poll

A recent KAN News poll reveals a tight and complex political landscape in Israel, with no bloc securing the 61-seat majority needed to form a government. The Likud party, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, remains the largest party with 24 seats. Close behind is the Yisra list, headed by Gadi Eizenkot, with 23 seats. The 'Together' list, led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, holds 13 seats.

Other parties in the top ten include the Democrats and Yisrael Beiteinu, each with 10 seats, and Otzma Yehudit with 8 seats. In the ultra-Orthodox sector, Shas and United Torah Judaism each receive 8 seats. At the lower end, Ra'am secures 6 seats, while Hadash-Ta'al and Religious Zionism barely pass the electoral threshold with 5 seats each. The list led by Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel fails to cross the threshold.

Regarding bloc distribution, the coalition parties (Likud, Shas, United Torah Judaism, Otzma Yehudit, and Religious Zionism) collectively hold 53 seats. The opposition parties (Yisra, Together, Democrats, and Yisrael Beiteinu) have 56 seats, while Arab parties hold 5 seats. This division leaves no clear path to a decisive majority, indicating a potentially challenging government formation process ahead.
