Poll Shows Majority Prefer Non-Netanyahu Candidate for Prime Minister

A recent Channel 12 poll reveals that Benjamin Netanyahu has recorded his lowest suitability rating for prime minister in recent months. Only 31% of respondents support Netanyahu, while 56% prefer a candidate other than him. This marks a 6% drop in Netanyahu's support compared to a poll conducted less than a month ago, where he stood at 37%. The gap between Netanyahu supporters and those favoring the "anyone but Bibi" camp is 25%.

When asked about the preferred outcome if no bloc secures the required 61 seats (excluding Arab parties), 23% favored a change government with Arab parties abstaining, 22% supported a unity government with Netanyahu leading Likud, 21% preferred unity without Netanyahu, and another 21% opted for new elections.

Regarding the impact of a party leader's ethnic background on voting intentions, 79% said it has little or no effect, while 13% said it influences them greatly. Among Netanyahu supporters, 80% reported no impact from ethnic background. Conversely, 64% of voters said a party's right or left-wing image greatly influences their vote, with 31% saying it has a minor effect.

The poll also examined the possibility of the change bloc relying on Yoav Segalovich as the decisive 61st vote, following his expected alliance with Mansour Abbas. Among the general public, 44% doubted this reliance, while 28% supported it. Among change bloc voters, 45% supported relying on Segalovich, and 27% opposed it.
