Police Release Final Footage of Eldar Dayan with Friends Before His Death

Israeli police continue investigating the murder of Eldar Dayan, with two of his friends as the main suspects, though both deny involvement. Newly revealed footage shows Dayan with these two friends entering the grove where his body was later found. This video contradicts the suspects' initial claims that they separated at a gas station in Petah Tikva and that they did not know Dayan's whereabouts afterward.

Dayan's decomposed body was discovered last Thursday near Highway 40 in central Israel, about three weeks after he went missing. Authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine if there was trauma to his skull. Even if murder charges are not proven, the two friends are expected to face charges of abandonment.

The investigation began after an anonymous tipster reported seeing Dayan's abandoned car with a broken windshield and blood stains at a Petah Tikva gas station. Police found fingerprints of Dayan and his two friends inside the vehicle. One suspect claimed they left the car after a confrontation with Eritreans in Tel Aviv, while the other denied being present at the incident. Police continue to examine the case as they await further forensic results.
