Maccabi Tel Aviv Midfielder Roy Navi Scores and Assists in Ukrainian League Debut

Roy Navi, a midfielder owned by Maccabi Tel Aviv, has made an impressive start at his new club Kryvbas in the Ukrainian Premier League. After two loan spells in Israel with Hapoel Petah Tikva and Hapoel Haifa, Navi hoped to rejoin Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer. Although he began training with Maccabi, he was not included in their training camp squad and was instead loaned out again, this time to Kryvbas.

In his first match for Kryvbas, Navi started the game, scored a goal, and provided an assist, helping his team secure a 3-1 victory over Zorya. Another former Maccabi player, Bar Lin, who was recently transferred to Kryvbas for 250,000 euros, was not part of the matchday squad. Kryvbas is coached by Patrick van Leeuwen, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach.

This loan move offers Navi a valuable opportunity to gain playing time and international experience outside of Israel. After two seasons on loan within Israeli clubs, Navi aims to use his time in Ukraine to develop further and potentially return to Maccabi Tel Aviv's first team in the future.
