Vizhnitz Rebbe's Health Improves; Blesses Month in Ora, Prayer Rally Moved to Jerusalem

The health of the Vizhnitz Rebbe, Rabbi Israel ben Leah Esther, improved over the recent Sabbath after several days of weakness. On the Sabbath morning of Elul, congregants in the Ora settlement were able to hear his holy voice during the blessing of the new month. Throughout the Sabbath, followers worldwide recited Psalms for his recovery. At the grand Beit Midrash in Kiryat Vizhnitz, Bnei Brak, Rabbi Menachem Ernster, head of the Vizhnitz Yeshiva, emotionally recited Psalm 130 before the Torah reading.

A week before the major "Mekad'shei Shmecha" event, which gathers thousands of Vizhnitz Hasidim for a mass prayer rally and the launch of a fundraising campaign for the Vizhnitz institutions, organizers announced a venue change. Originally planned for the holy site of Meron, the event will now be held in Jerusalem due to the Rebbe's weakened condition, which currently prevents him from traveling the long distance to Meron.

The Rebbe expressed a strong desire to participate in the event and requested the relocation to Jerusalem to enable his attendance. The event will take place at the large Beit Midrash of the Gur Hasidim in Jerusalem. In a special phone message, the Rebbe urged his followers to attend the rally, emphasizing the importance of every individual to the world of Torah and expressing hope to visit Meron during the winter Sabbath to pray at Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai's tomb.
