Vizhnitz Rebbe’s Health Improves, Major Hasidic Gathering Moved to Jerusalem

After several days of weakness that prompted prayers worldwide, the health of the Vizhnitz Rebbe has improved over the Sabbath. On Saturday morning, while staying at a guesthouse in the moshav Ora, the Rebbe’s followers were able to hear his voice during the monthly blessing. Throughout the Sabbath, thousands of Hasidim in Israel and abroad prayed for his recovery, with a poignant public prayer led by Rabbi Menachem Ernster at the main Vizhnitz synagogue in Bnei Brak.

In light of the Rebbe’s health and the difficulty of traveling north, the large upcoming gathering originally planned for the holy site of Meron on Tuesday night, the eve of Rosh Chodesh Elul, was relocated to the spacious main study hall of the Gur Hasidic community in Jerusalem. The Rebbe expressed a strong desire to participate in the event and personally requested the venue change. He also encouraged all Hasidim to attend, emphasizing the importance of supporting Torah study and expressing hope to visit Meron for a special Sabbath in the near future.

Meanwhile, preparations continue for a major joyous occasion within the Vizhnitz community: the wedding of the Rebbe’s grandson, Mordechai Hager, son of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager. The "Ufruf" ceremony will take place this coming Sabbath at the main synagogue in Bnei Brak, with the wedding celebration scheduled for the following Wednesday, expected to draw thousands of attendees.
