Matias Nahuel Joins Malaysian Champions Johor Darul Ta'zim After Leaving Maccabi Haifa
Matias Nahuel, formerly Maccabi Haifa's most expensive signing, has officially joined Johor Darul Ta'zim, the reigning champions of the Malaysian league. Nahuel was released by Maccabi Haifa after struggling to secure playing time, having made only 24 appearances and scored three goals since signing in 2024. Johor Darul Ta'zim dominated the previous season, finishing 17 points clear at the top of the league. The Malaysian club welcomed Nahuel with a statement expressing excitement to "enjoy football again." Maccabi Haifa had sought a club to take Nahuel off their roster, and this move appears to fulfill that objective.
