Poll Shows Benjamin Netanyahu Support Hits New Low at 31% Amid Political Uncertainty

A recent "Friday Studio" poll reveals a significant decline in support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who now garners only 31% backing as a preferred candidate for prime minister. This marks a 6% drop from less than a month ago, when his support stood at 37%. Meanwhile, 56% of respondents favor a candidate other than Netanyahu, creating a 25% gap between Netanyahu and the "anti-Bibi" camp.

The poll also explored public preferences in the event no coalition secures the required 61 Knesset seats without Arab parties. In this scenario, 23% of respondents prefer a change government supported by the abstention of Arab parties, 22% favor a unity government with Netanyahu leading Likud, 21% support a unity government excluding Netanyahu, and another 21% opt for new elections.

Regarding the influence of ethnic background on voting intentions, 79% of the public say it has little or no effect, including 80% of Netanyahu supporters. However, 64% of voters say a party's right- or left-wing image significantly influences their vote.

The poll also examined the potential role of Yoav Segalovich as the "61st vote" for the change bloc, following his expected alliance with Mansour Abbas. Among the general public, 44% doubt the change bloc can rely on Segalovich, while 28% believe it can. Among change bloc supporters, 45% support relying on him, with 27% opposed.

The survey was conducted online on August 6, 2026, by Meno Geva's Consulting and Research, sampling 501 Israeli adults with a maximum margin of error of 4.4%.
