EuroLeague Champion Javonte Hawkins Signs One-Year Deal with Hapoel Eilat

Hapoel Eilat announced the signing of 32-year-old guard Javonte Hawkins for the upcoming season. Standing 1.96 meters tall, Hawkins brings significant European experience, having won the EuroLeague with Bonn in 2023 and the Serbian League championship with Subotica last season. Previously, he played for Bonn and Subotica and earned recognition by being named twice to the German league's second team in 2020 and 2022, as well as to the Ohio Valley Conference second team in college in 2016.

Coach Oren Aharoni praised Hawkins as an experienced player who has contributed to winning teams in Europe. He described Hawkins as a tough guard capable of impacting the game in multiple ways and able to play both guard positions, fitting well with Eilat's backcourt lineup. The signing adds a seasoned and versatile player to Hapoel Eilat's roster ahead of the Israeli Basketball Premier League season.
