Hapoel Tel Aviv Extends Elijah Bryant's Contract Through 2029 Season
Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball club officially announced the long-term contract extension of star guard Elijah Bryant, who will remain with the team through the end of the 2028/29 season. Bryant, who joined the club in the summer of 2025, was a key figure in Hapoel Tel Aviv's successful EuroLeague campaign, which culminated in an impressive playoff appearance and secured the team's spot in Europe's premier competition for the next season.
During the EuroLeague season, Bryant delivered a breakout performance, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and an efficiency rating of 19.6 over 38 games, earning him a well-deserved place in the league's All-EuroLeague First Team. In the domestic league, he played six regular-season games, contributing 13.7 points and 4.8 assists per game.
Following the contract signing, Bryant expressed his excitement to continue with Hapoel Tel Aviv and eagerness to return to work. The club's sporting director, George Chinas, praised Bryant as a "very important anchor in our roster" and a "complete and consistent player." Head coach Dimitris Itoudis also welcomed the extension, hoping Bryant will return even stronger after surgery, noting his high standards and professionalism.
