Givati Brigade Commander Emphasizes Care for New Recruits at IDF Enlistment

The IDF recruitment process continues with a focus on the Givati Brigade and Artillery Corps, where many young recruits arrived at the enlistment office accompanied by their families, expressing high motivation and excitement. Among them was a family who traveled from New York specifically to support their son.

Veteran artilleryman Oded Ben Ami shared with the new recruits the proud combat legacy of the artillery corps, stating, "Once an artilleryman, always an artilleryman." His remarks aimed to inspire the fresh soldiers as they begin their military service.

Givati Brigade Commander Colonel Natanel Shamkha personally greeted recruits and their families, telling one family, "Every fighter and soldier in the Givati Brigade is like our own child. We have a mission to prepare him for war and bring him back from there." This statement underscored the brigade's commitment to the welfare and training of its soldiers.

This visit was part of a broader series titled "Welcome to the IDF," which highlights enlistment experiences across various IDF units, including the Navy, Armored Corps, Combat Engineering Corps, and others. The series aims to provide insight into the motivations and preparations of new Israeli soldiers as they begin their service.
