New Recruits Share Motivation Ahead of Golani Brigade Training
As part of a special series on IDF enlistments, new recruits joining the Golani Brigade recently shared their motivations before beginning the demanding training for the brigade's iconic brown beret. Many expressed a strong commitment to Golani, known as Israel's top infantry brigade, with some citing family traditions of service within the unit. One recruit stated, "This is the best brigade; from the first moment, I knew I wanted to be here." Another new soldier, Ilai, said, "I feel I need to be here and nowhere else." This coverage follows previous reports on enlistments to other IDF units, including the Navy, Armored Corps, Combat Engineering Corps, Givati Brigade, Artillery Corps, Paratroopers, Kfir, and Nahal brigades.
