Hamas Terrorist Posing as Humanitarian Aid Driver Arrested Near Gaza Crossing

A Hamas terrorist involved in the October 7 massacre on Israeli communities near Gaza was arrested in the Gaza Strip while working as a humanitarian aid truck driver. The suspect was apprehended near Rafah as he headed toward the Kerem Shalom crossing and transferred for further investigation by Israeli security forces, according to Channel 12 news.

The driver had been hired by a private trader in Gaza to transport aid intended for the private sector. Israeli security intercepted him before he could collect the aid supplies. This arrest follows a series of targeted killings and arrests of Hamas' Nukhba unit operatives responsible for the October 7 attacks on Israeli border communities.

In recent weeks, the IDF has eliminated several senior Nukhba commanders who led attacks on Israeli settlements, including those targeting the Re'im military base and Kibbutz Nir Oz. The Southern Command continues operations to neutralize immediate threats to soldiers and civilians. These militants were also involved in rebuilding Hamas' capabilities and planning further terrorist activities against Israeli forces.

This incident raises serious concerns about the oversight of aid truck drivers entering Gaza, as previous cases have revealed smuggling of goods into Gaza under the guise of humanitarian aid, exploiting the aid system cynically.
