Gadi Eizenkot's Party Signals Talks With Netanyahu Bloc Defectors to Form Government

Shaul Meridor, a senior figure in Gadi Eizenkot's Yisra party, revealed ongoing behind-the-scenes discussions aimed at forming a governing coalition after the elections. In an interview on the Walla website's "Sari and Shlezinger" program published on Friday, Meridor emphasized their goal to establish a government with more than 61 Knesset seats. He hinted at potential defections from Netanyahu's bloc, stating they are in talks with many politicians from various parties, including those on the other side of the political spectrum, who are frustrated with the current situation.

Meridor stressed that their coalition talks are open to anyone who fits the definition of a "Zionist and loyalist," regardless of their original political alignment. He invited such figures to join their government, highlighting the deep divisions in Israeli politics and the need for a broad-based coalition.
