Two men arrested in Tel Aviv sex offense probes after separate incidents
Police detained two Arab suspects over the weekend in connection with two separate serious sex offense cases in Tel Aviv. One suspect is a man from Huwara in the West Bank, described as an unlawful resident in Israel. The other is a man from Haifa. One arrest has already been extended by the court, and the second suspect is due to appear today for a remand hearing.
In the first case, a man in his 40s from Haifa is suspected of entering the women’s restroom at Frishman Beach and committing an indecent act against a woman there. He was arrested and will be brought today to court for a decision on extending his detention.
In the second case, police arrested a man in his 30s from Huwara on Saturday on suspicion that he committed indecent acts against a woman in Tel Aviv. During the investigation, officers also developed suspicion that he may have been involved in an earlier similar incident at a nearby club. A court extended his detention until Wednesday.
Police said the investigation into both incidents is continuing.
