Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Star Kinan Evans Set to Return to Zalgiris Kaunas
Kinan Evans, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Haifa basketball player, is set to sign a one-year contract with an option in Lithuania's Zalgiris Kaunas, according to Spanish journalist Chema de Lucas. Evans, who is recovering from two severe injuries including a year-and-a-half-long patellar tendon tear and a subsequent Achilles tendon rupture, will initially be loaned to the London Lions, a team competing in the EuroCup. This arrangement will allow him to participate in the preseason against Portland. Evans last played a league game two seasons ago due to his injuries but showed strong performance in his last healthy season, averaging 17.3 points and 3.9 assists in 27.4 minutes per game in the EuroLeague. His return to Zalgiris marks a significant step in his recovery and career revival.
