Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Star Kinan Evans Set to Return to Zalgiris Kaunas After Injury

Kinan Evans, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Haifa player, is set to sign a one-year contract with an option in Lithuania to rejoin Zalgiris Kaunas, the team where he previously excelled. Initially, Evans will be loaned to the London Lions, a team competing in the EuroCup, allowing him to participate in the preseason against Portland.

Evans has been recovering from two severe injuries that sidelined him for extended periods. He missed a year and a half due to a patellar tendon rupture and later suffered an Achilles tendon tear shortly after his return, which caused him to miss nearly an entire season. Before these injuries, Evans had a strong season in the EuroLeague, averaging 17.3 points and 3.9 assists in 27.4 minutes per game.

His return to Zalgiris marks a significant step in his comeback, as he aims to regain his form and contribute to the Lithuanian club's success. The loan to London Lions will provide him with valuable playing time in a competitive environment ahead of the main season.
