Ramat Gan’s Zisman Hall Undergoes Major Renovation Ahead of 2026/27 Season

Zisman Hall, the home arena of Maccabi Ramat Gan basketball teams, is undergoing a significant renovation ahead of the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season. The project, funded by the Ramat Gan municipality and club owner Avi Gabay, involves an investment of approximately two million shekels. The renovation includes replacing all seats on the court level with new stands, relocating the VIP section, and adding about 200 more seats near the court to enhance the fan experience.

Additional upgrades include refurbishing the playing court, renovating the Maccabi Ramat Gan locker rooms, improving public restrooms, upgrading the referees’ room, and constructing new offices for both the men's and women's teams. A new gym will also be built adjacent to the arena. Avi Gabay emphasized that the renovation aims to improve the viewing experience and strengthen the connection between the fans and the club, describing it as part of a broader renewal process for the team.

Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen highlighted the renovation as part of the city’s commitment to investing in sports infrastructure to attract youth and spectators. He noted that the city is dedicating significant resources to upgrading neglected sports facilities, viewing these investments as fostering values of achievement, excellence, and teamwork. The current renovation is considered temporary until a new arena is built to serve both the men’s and women’s Premier League teams in the future.

The club and city officials expressed optimism about the upcoming season and the improved arena, which they expect to create a family-friendly, community-oriented atmosphere and a source of local pride.
