Ramat Gan to Build New Training Complex for Hapoel Ramat Gan-Giv'atayim
Hapoel Ramat Gan-Giv'atayim announced on Tuesday that the Ramat Gan municipality will build a new training complex for the club at a cost of 1.5 million shekels. The facility will be located near Ramat Gan Stadium and will cover about 740 square meters.
The complex is planned to include a medical area, a gym and a press conference room. Construction is expected to begin next week, and the entire project should be finished in about three months.
The first floor is expected to be handed over within five to six weeks, which would allow the team to start training there before the project is fully completed. The announcement comes after the club’s promotion to the Premier League.
Mayor Carmel Shama Hacohen said the city is building the team “a worthy home for training, at a high and serious standard,” adding that the municipality promised support and is now delivering it. Club chairman Avi Yechiel thanked the city and said the project is the first stage of a broader plan to help Hapoel Ramat Gan-Giv'atayim reach “the forefront of Israeli football,” while promising the club will keep working hard for its supporters.
