Ramat Gan to Build New Training Complex for Hapoel Ramat Gan-Givatayim
Hapoel Ramat Gan-Givatayim announced on Tuesday that the Ramat Gan municipality will build a new training complex for the club at a cost of 1.5 million shekels. The project will be located next to Ramat Gan Stadium and will cover about 740 square meters.
The facility is expected to include a medical area, a gym, and a press conference room. Construction is due to begin next week, and the first floor should be handed over in five to six weeks so the team can start training there before the full project is completed.
The full complex is expected to be finished in about three months. Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama Hacohen said the city is happy to welcome the club to the Premier League and will give it a proper training home at a high, serious standard. He added that the city had promised support and is now delivering, with ongoing cooperation and trust between the sides ahead of the new season.
Club chairman Avi Yechiel called the move an important step made possible by the municipality and Shama Hacohen, whom he said worked "day and night" to advance the project. He said it is only the first stage of a broader plan to move Hapoel Ramat Gan-Givatayim toward the forefront of Israeli football and added, "We are working hard and will continue to work hard to make our fans proud and happy."
