Marcos Wolf Passes Beersheba Medicals, Set for Hapoel Beersheba Deal
Hapoel Beersheba is closing in on a double signing, with goalkeeper Marcos Wolf due to undergo medical tests on Sunday and then, later in the day, sign a contract along with midfielder Niv Yehoshua, according to the report first published by Sport5.
Yehoshua, 21, is leaving Maccabi Petah Tikva on a three-year deal with an option for two more seasons. He is expected to earn about NIS 400,000 net per season, but only after he completes his military service. In recent years, he became one of Maccabi Petah Tikva’s key players after breaking into the senior squad about two years ago, and has made 98 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and adding five assists.
Wolf’s transfer will bring Maccabi Petah Tikva, which was promoted to the Premier League, an estimated NIS 800,000 in transfer fee. The goalkeeper is set to sign for two years with an option for one additional season, and his salary at his new club will reportedly be about 160,000 euros per year.
Last season, Wolf played 36 matches in the Liga Leumit for Maccabi Petah Tikva, conceded 42 goals, and kept nine clean sheets.
